The Winchester Public Schools Board of Education unanimously approved a motion on Jan. 13 certifying the Hinsdale School renovation project as complete and requesting payment under the state school building grant process.
Board member Christine Rylander moved a resolution that the project had been accepted by the architect and construction managers, that change orders were approved by the State Department of Administrative Services, and that the grant did not duplicate funding or exceed 100% of total project costs. The motion cited compliance with Chapter 173 of the Connecticut General Statutes and applied specifically under C.G.S. Section 10-287(d) for grant payment. Jonathan Morhardt seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
The motion further certified that bills have been paid or are escrowed, and that the statements in the grant application are true to the best of the board’s knowledge. The action authorizes staff to proceed with the grant payment application; it does not change prior project terms.
