Students demonstrate Bits and Bytes partnership teaching block programming to younger learners

Students from Smith STEM School and Conard High School presented the Bits and Bytes computer-club partnership during the Feb. 5 Board of Education meeting.
The program, funded in part by the West Hartford Foundation, brings Conard students to Smith to teach younger students how to use Sprites and block-based programming. The Board thanked the students for the presentation.
Superintendent Tom Moore highlighted student achievements in the meeting'including Sedgwick Middle School's third-place finish in the national Kids Lit competition and the recognition of Conard student Megan Goulet by the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing program.
