Windsor Locks board approves superintendent contract extension and two union agreements

Following executive session on June 9, the Windsor Locks Board of Education took public action to approve personnel contracts.
Amber Mortensen-Hurdle moved and Greg Guyette seconded a motion to approve the Superintendent of Schools contract with a 0% salary increase for 2026'027 and to extend the contract through the 2028'029 school year. The motion passed 5-0.
The Board also approved the collective bargaining agreements presented for Food Service Employees (United Public Service Employees Union, Local 424, Unit 26) and for Paraeducators (UE Local 222). The motion to approve those contracts, moved by Mortensen-Hurdle and seconded by Cutler, passed 5-0.
Both approvals followed executive session discussion limited to Board members and specified administrators under Connecticut General Statutes governing executive sessions. The approved contracts will be implemented according to their terms; the Board did not announce further public details about salary schedules or contract language at the meeting.
