The Pembroke Town Board continued and closed a public hearing on Local Law #2 of 2024, which proposes amending Section 526 of Local Law No. 1 of 1991 to restrict multifamily projects to Limited Commercial and Commercial zoning and to arterial highways.
Supervisor Thomas Schneider explained that the changes were prompted by prior applications and are intended to allow the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Board to impose stipulations and restrictions on multifamily projects. The record shows the continued hearing was opened previously on July 11, 2024 and advertised on June 29 in the Batavia Daily News.
A motion to close the public hearing was made by Supervisor Schneider and seconded by Councilwoman Kathleen Manne; the motion carried unanimously. No adoption of the Local Law is recorded in the minutes for this meeting; the entry in the minutes documents only the hearing closure and related notices.
