Board authorizes Lightbox marketing deals and approves HVAC maintenance contract

At its June 10 meeting the Learner Board approved three formal actions by voice vote: authority for the general manager to execute Lightbox marketing contracts within the approved marketing budget, acceptance of the claims and allowance docket totaling $43,931.10, and a Wagner Miner preventative maintenance agreement for $11,620.
The resolution authorizing the general manager to approve Lightbox marketing contracts was presented to the board with the contingency that any contracts remain within the scope of the marketing budget previously approved by Elkhart City Council and the board. A motion to "approve general manager being authorized to approve and execute Lightbox marketing contracts on behalf of the board so long as they are within the approved marketing budget" was made, seconded and adopted by voice vote.
The board also approved a claims and allowance motion for $43,931.10; the item was described as detailed in the meeting packet and accepted by voice vote.
Dean Tugle (operations) presented a preventative maintenance agreement with Wagner Miner LLC that would provide semiannual maintenance to rooftop units and split systems. The board voted to approve the Wagner Miner agreement in the amount of $11,620; staff said the maintenance arrangement has reduced HVAC alerts substantially and will save money over time.
