Winthrop School Board approves multiple policies on second reading

Policies approved included ECB (Pest Management); JLCB (Immunization of Students); JICA (Weapons, Violence and School Safety); JFC (Dropout Prevention and Student Withdrawal); EA (Student Transportation and related employee requirements/training); and administrative procedures for drug and alcohol testing of school bus drivers. Board members moved and seconded the measures and the chair called a unanimous vote.
Board members noted there were no substantive changes from the first reading, and the unanimous vote carried the approvals forward in the district’s policy process.
