Kings Park board honors longtime employees at June 16 retirement recognition

The Kings Park Central School District held a retirement recognition as part of its June 16 board meeting, honoring district employees across multiple roles and buildings for long service and contributions to students.
Superintendent Dr. Craig opened the recognition and described the retirees as representing teachers, teacher aides, clerical staff and transportation personnel who "have embodied the spirit of Kings Park pride of dedication, professionalism, compassion and commitment to our students and their families." The program identified retirees from Kings Park High School, William T. Rogers Middle School, Parkview, Cornfield, Fort Salonga, the transportation department and central-office offices.
Principal Jennifer Martina recognized Liz Greco (special education aide) and detailed her longtime support for students, her travel with teams and the joy she brought to the school community. Martina and others also recognized Anne Blake, a librarian with a 35-year career, John Crowley, a special education aide who worked across district schools, and other staff whose work ranged from classroom support to operational roles.
William T. Rogers principal Dr. Piscara emphasized Teresa Grammarosa’s classroom consistency, thoughtfulness and student-centered instruction and called her a strong advocate who helped problem-solve attendance concerns. Other principals and administrators thanked retirees for institutional knowledge, daily professionalism and community leadership. Transportation and clerical retirees — including Nancy Sauson Selden and Joanne Allison — were singled out for community engagement and steady service.
Board members and administrators invited retirees to gather for a group photo and thanked them publicly. The recognition concluded before the business agenda resumed.
