Carroll County commissioners approve routine business; clerk flags Medicare help and fair dates

At its June 22, 2026 meeting, the Carroll County Board of Commissioners approved routine business items including the previous meeting minutes, a travel request, appropriations and the day's bills. Each motion was moved, seconded and carried with commissioners answering 'I' during voice votes.
April D. Many, assistant clerk one, gave public-service announcements: she said Medicare beneficiaries may qualify for programs under the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) that can help pay premiums, deductibles, copayments and prescription costs and provided the Area Agency on Aging Region 9 phone number, 1-800-945-4250. She also said the Harrison County Fair opens the same day and runs through June 27; she posted a flyer to the county Facebook page.
Board members had no extended discussion on the items and no public comment was recorded. Commissioner Wner noted a busy week with border revisions and moved to adjourn near the end of the meeting.
