Planner Sabrina Kemper and Facilities Director Garrett Rothenhoefer told the board that converting to LED fixtures would produce ongoing energy savings; Garrett provided examples of anticipated savings based on conversions. Sabrina said she will coordinate required reporting with the Treasurer's office. Commissioner Dave North moved to approve the grant application submittal; Commissioner Dallas Laird seconded and the motion carried.
The vote authorizes staff to apply for the grant; any grant award and subsequent procurement steps will follow county grant and procurement rules.
