Huntley pension board adopts rules, updates IPOPIF authorization and certifies trustee election

The Huntley Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees on April 27 approved governance actions that included adopting board rules, updating IPOPIF authorized agents and certifying trustee election results.
Attorney Jerry Marzullo presented proposed Rules and Regulations prepared for the Board. Trustee Mike Hewitt moved and Trustee Laura Mraz seconded adoption of the Rules and Regulations, and the Board approved the measure by roll call vote (Heagney, Hewitt, Mraz present; Haley and Lanute absent).
The Board reviewed and adopted Resolution 2023-01 to update the list of authorized agents for the Illinois Police Officers' Pension Investment Fund (IPOPIF), appointing Trustees Timothy Heagney and Cathy Haley as authorized agents. The Board also noted that the IDOI Annual Statement is being prepared and voted to accept the IDOI draft as amended with Trustee Haley's suggested changes; the final report will be circulated when completed.
Lauterbach & Amen reported on the results of a trustee election conducted for one active member position and the retired member position; Joseph Lanute and Mike Hewitt ran unopposed and were reelected to two-year terms expiring May 13, 2025. Trustee Heagney moved and Trustee Mraz seconded certification of the election results; the motion carried by roll call vote.
Attorney Marzullo provided legislative updates related to Article 3 pension matters. The board adjourned at 4:51 p.m.
