Dan Saumer moved and Don Ramberg seconded a motion to award the gravel hauling to Rydberg & Sons at $5.47 per cubic yard. The motion carried unanimously with Sam Christenson recorded as abstaining due to absence from prior related meetings. The council directed Interim City Administrator Ashley Rauschnot to draft apology and thank‑you letters for both companies.
A resident in attendance suggested the City consider contractor scorecards to standardize performance feedback for vendors in future procurements.
