Commissioners accept demolition agreement with Askin Construction; DEQ permit expected

The Carbon County Board of Commissioners accepted an agreement Feb. 5 with Askin Construction for demolition work at the Consolidated Campus after county consultants said all required paperwork had been submitted.
Kevin Feldman of Cushing Terrell told the board that Askin Construction provided the required documentation. Commissioner Bill Bullock moved to accept the agreement; Commissioner Scott Miller seconded and the motion carried. Feldman said the Department of Environmental Quality permit was expected to be received by the end of the day.
The minutes do not include contract price, start date or demolition scope details. The board recorded acceptance of the agreement conditional on standard permitting and administrative steps.
