Reinbeck council approves transfer of funds, sets utility rate hearing and other administrative items

At its April 6 meeting the Reinbeck City Council approved a series of administrative and scheduling items.
Council approved Resolution #2026-10R to transfer funds to pay upcoming obligations and approved Resolution #2026-11R to propose an ordinance and set a public hearing on new utility rates for May 4, 2026. The council also approved the City of Reinbeck serving as a pass-through town for the RAGBRAI event on July 23, 2026. Wambold and Bueghly had attended an informational meeting in Des Moines on April 3–4 regarding RAGBRAI.
The council set the FY2027 budget hearing for April 20, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. and approved a consultant agreement with Callahan Municipal Consulting for capital improvement plan work. The consent agenda (approved at the start of the meeting) included March minutes, a Treasurer’s report and bills to be paid listed at $192,653.26; the minutes additionally include an attached April claims list showing a claims total of $303,462.69 with fund-by-fund breakdowns.
