The Reinbeck City Council on April 6 adopted two ordinances changing parking rules and fines and passed an ordinance establishing rules for mobile food service vendors.
A public hearing opened on proposed amendments to add a 20-minute parking sign at 423 Main Street and to raise parking violation fines to $50. No written or oral comments were received. The council gave Ordinance #2026-04OR and Ordinance #2026-05OR first consideration and then suspended the statutory rule requiring two meetings; both ordinances were adopted on unanimous roll call votes.
Council also introduced and adopted Ordinance #2026-03OR adding provisions for Chapter 124 Mobile Food Service Vendors after a motion for second consideration and a suspension of the two-meeting rule; the vote was recorded 5-0.
