Reinbeck advances mobile food vendor ordinance after public hearing; fee to be set by resolution

Councilmember Trepp moved that the ordinance be given its first consideration; Councilmember Wambold seconded and the motion carried on a 5–0 voice vote. Councilmember Johnson moved to set the ordinance’s second reading for April 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.; that motion also passed unanimously.
The council did not adopt a vendor fee at the March 2 meeting; the minutes indicate the fee will be established later by a resolution once the ordinance process has advanced.
