Reinbeck council approves financial resolutions, cancels TIF re-batement and handles administrative items

By roll-call vote, council approved Resolution #2026-13R authorizing transfers to cover upcoming obligations and Resolution #2026-14R establishing fees for mobile food vending units. Council discussed the TIF re-batement at 101 Progress Drive and, because the property changed hands, voted to cancel the re-batement rather than extend it to the new owner. The motion to cancel the TIF re-batement passed on a roll-call vote.
The council also accepted Tina Lyon’s resignation from the Library Board effective May 11, 2026; approved two certifications of liens for unpaid utility accounts and instructed the clerk to file them with the County Treasurer; approved placement of three No Parking signs on the north side of School Street between Broad and Center; and discussed adding curb and gutter on Main Street to the Capital Improvements Plan. All motions carried by unanimous vote.
