The Board considered an amended resolution after it was discovered that Ordinance 1162 — which adds Section 21-21B to create the Higgins Avenue Mixed Use Overlay Zone — had mistakenly cited the wrong tax-map identifiers for the Brielle Sports Club property. Chair Corinne Trainor presented the corrected text and the Board reviewed the ordinance for consistency with the Borough Master Plan as required under N.J.S.A. 40:55D-64 and 40:55D-26.
Jay Jones moved to approve the corrected Resolution; Dan Turak seconded the motion. The roll call vote recorded ayes from Mayor Frank Garruzzo, Councilman Eliot Colon, Karen Brisben, G. Kevin Callahan, Jay Jones, James Priolo, Corinne Trainor and Dan Turak; there were no noes.
The action was procedural and limited to correcting the clerical error in the ordinance text. The Council will consider the ordinance itself in its subsequent proceedings.
