Board members voted to authorize the release of $70,000 from the remaining selectmen's contingency (initially $75,000 with $5,000 already released earlier in the year) to cover the fiscal year shortfall. "I'll make a motion that we authorize to release 70,000 from the selectmen's contingency to cover the FY2026 over expenditures," a member moved and the board approved it by voice vote.
Staff said the additional funds will be used to cover remaining payroll and contract service costs and that reconciliations would be complete by mid‑July.
