Ogden Council approves four-way stop, passes consent agenda items and resolutions

The Ogden City Council on Tuesday approved an ordinance adding a four-way stop at SW Fifth and West Division Streets and passed a consent agenda that included tax abatements, city financial reports and two resolutions related to an interfund transfer and a park-project hearing notice.
Councilman Dave Ohlson moved and Councilwoman Margaret Liston seconded approval of the second reading of Ordinance No. 287 and the council voted to waive the third reading; the motion carried with all present voting aye. The ordinance will be processed according to city procedures.
Earlier in the meeting Councilwoman Lori Anderson moved and Councilman Brian Reimers seconded approval of the consent agenda. Items approved included the Nov. 11 regular meeting minutes; the Treasurer’s Report for November 2025; the claims list for Nov. 8–Dec. 5; the Urban Renewal Area Report; Resolution No. 202512-596 (to make an interfund transfer and record the same); Resolution No. 202512-597 (authorizing the City Clerk to publish a notice of hearing for the Howe City Park Project); tax abatements for 620 W. Division Street (addition) and 401 W. Elm Street (new garage); and the First Responder recommendation of Richard McWilliams. The motion carried with all present voting aye.
The meeting included presentation of the claims lists: published bank drafts totaled $105,190.06 and the listed checks/payables totaled $126,488.26. The council also scheduled January budget work sessions.
