Senior center and local trails, conservation groups ask council for support; no funding decisions made

Naomi Pelisek, with the Lakes Area Senior Center, described the center's services, events and facility needs and requested funding assistance. Erin Reed, executive director of Dickinson County Trails, updated the council on 2025 development projects, plans for 2026, trail maintenance and trail counts and discussed the FY27 assessment. Amy Heibult with the Dickinson County Conservation Board outlined planned upgrades to the Nature Playscape at the Dickinson County Nature Center and requested a letter of support and funding.
Councilmembers heard the presentations but did not take action on funding, letters of support, or assessments at the Feb. 10 meeting. The items were recorded for future consideration as staff and council continue budget planning for FY2027.
