Ogden City Council approves consent agenda, sets election to fill vacant seat

The Ogden City Council met in regular session on Jan. 13, 2026, and approved its agenda and a multi-item consent package, including a building permit for a triplex at 102–106 E. Sycamore St. and Resolution No. 202601-598 establishing official depositories and maximum balances.
The consent agenda — approved on a motion by Councilwoman Lori Anderson and seconded by Mayor Margaret Liston — also included the Dec. 9, 2025 regular meeting minutes, the Treasurer's Report for December 2025, the claims list for Dec. 6, 2025–Jan. 9, 2026, and the extension of Deanna Moe's term on the library board through May 2031. The council recorded the vote as "Ayes: All Present; Motion Carried." Present at the meeting were Mayor Margaret Liston and Councilmembers Aaron Crane, David Ohlson, Brian Reimers and Lori Anderson.

The Jan. 2026 claims lists were presented to council. Bank drafts listed in the packet total $54,723.64 and check payments total $192,216.11. Notable checks included a $99,143.00 invoice to Midwest Fire Equip, $20,059.00 to the Boone County Auditor, and $14,420.98 to 10FOLD Architecture; the council approved the claims as part of the consent agenda.
Council also scheduled a public hearing on the proposed maximum property tax dollars to certify levies for April 7, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., and set a special budget work session for Jan. 28, 2026, at 3 p.m.
The meeting minutes list Brenda Dryer presenting on MIPA and COG and record departmental reports from City staff; no additional formal actions were taken beyond those noted above.
