South Vinemont council designates league delegate, reschedules May meeting and approves routine items

At its April 8, 2025 regular session the South Vinemont Town Council approved several routine resolutions and administrative items.
The council adopted Resolution No. 2025-04-02 to designate the Town’s representation at the Alabama League of Municipalities annual convention; the minutes state the council authorized the council member in place #1 as the town’s voting delegate for the League convention scheduled May 13–16, 2025 in Huntsville. The motion to accept the resolution was made by Councilor Ross Campbell and seconded by Councilor Bonnie Goodwin; the minutes record a unanimous oral vote in favor.
The council also approved Resolution No. 2025-04-01 (providing for the election of municipal officers and repealing a section of a prior resolution) by motion of Councilor Nina Justice, seconded by Grady Malone; the vote was unanimous. Additionally, the council agreed to move the May 13 council meeting to May 20, 2025 because of the Special Election for District 11; Kelley Little made the motion to change the meeting date and Nina Justice seconded; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
Town staff announced two upcoming community events: an Easter Egg Hunt April 12, 2025 (3–5 p.m.) at the Vinemont Community Center/Walking Trail and Senior Citizens Day April 21, 2025 (10 a.m.–1 p.m.) at the Vinemont Community Center. The council adjourned at 6:26 p.m.
