The Town Council of South Vinemont accepted the Town's audited financial statements for fiscal year 2023 and adopted a resolution acknowledging receipt of the audit during the April 8, 2025 regular session.
Jeremy Jefferys, identified in the minutes as the auditor presenting the report (noting he works with Darrell W. Wates CPA, PC for municipal audits), reviewed the 2023 audit and financial statements. The minutes summarize the audit as a clean report and record discussion that followed the presentation.
Following the presentation, Council voted to accept Resolution No. 2025-04-03, acknowledging receipt and acceptance of the 2023 audited Annual Financial Report. The motion was made by Councilor Nina Justice and seconded by Councilor Grady Malone; the oral vote recorded all members present voting yes (Mayor Radginal Dodson; Councilors Kelley Little, Nina Justice, Ross Campbell, Bonnie Goodwin and Grady Malone).
The council also approved the town's March 2025 financials earlier in the meeting: Councilor Grady Malone moved to accept March 2025 financials, seconded by Councilor Bonnie Goodwin, and the motion carried by oral roll call with unanimous yes votes.
The council directed that copies of the audit be kept on permanent file in the Town Clerk's office, per the resolution language recorded in the minutes.
