South Vinemont council approves FY2025-26 budgets, pay increase, traffic change and town purchases

The council moved each resolution as read by Clerk Kayecea Sasser and approved each by oral vote; Bonnie Goodwin was recorded absent for those votes.
Council members also approved Resolution No. 2025-09-06 (Rebuild Alabama Fund) and Resolution No. 2025-09-07, which establishes a cost-of-living pay schedule increase for town employees. The council approved an amended Employee Policy and Procedure Handbook (Resolution No. 2025-09-08) and authorized participation in the Employees' Retirement System of Alabama (Resolution No. 2025-09-09).
The clerk read Resolution No. 2025-09-10 to add a three-way stop at Roberson and Federer Street; the council approved the measure by oral vote. Mayor Dodson told the council about a proposed digital sign for Town Hall at an estimated cost of $3,000. Council Member Kelley Little moved to approve the purchase; the motion passed by oral vote.
