South Vinemont council introduces resolutions on clerk compensation, election information and surplus equipment

Mayor Radginal Dodson introduced three resolutions during the South Vinemont Town Council work session on Feb. 11. Resolution No. 2025-02-01 would compensate the town clerk for duties as Absentee Election Manager; Resolution No. 2025-02-03 was presented to provide information for the election of municipal officers; and Resolution No. 2025-02-04 would declare certain town equipment surplus. The minutes record that council members asked no questions and raised no objections when the measures were introduced.
Visitor Shirley Arnett told the council that a town Facebook post about the election contained incorrect qualifying dates. Town Clerk Kayecea Sasser said she would make corrections to the post. The minutes do not record any other public comment or a vote on the introduced resolutions.
The council adjourned at 5:45 p.m. following a motion by Council Member Ross Campbell and a second from Council Member Grady Malone; the motion passed unanimously. No formal votes on the three introduced resolutions were recorded in the work-session minutes.
