The Aurelia City Council approved FY25/26 wage increases for several city employees at its Dec. 16 regular meeting.
Council Member Bruce moved to increase pay rates as presented and Council Member Fassler seconded. The council voted unanimously to raise hourly wages: Mark Sangwin to $36.82; Dustin Wieland to $30.62; Brian Flikeid to $34.28; Stephanie McSparran to $27.35; Laursen to $18.75; and Miller to $22.50. The motion carried with all members voting "aye."
The raises were recorded as part of personnel and budget planning for FY25/26; the council did not attach qualifications or step schedules to the wage approvals during the meeting. The clerk's report and other routine items followed the vote.
