Aurelia council awards $80,192 contract for municipal test well

After an engineering review of a proposed municipal test well, the Aurelia City Council voted to award the drilling contract to Sargent Drilling for $80,192. Council Member Nelson moved to award the bid; Council Member Fassler seconded the motion, which carried with four "aye" votes and one abstention.
Tom Grafft of ISG reviewed the test-well proposal and recommended proceeding with the bid award. Following the presentation, Council Member Nelson introduced the motion to accept the Sargent Drilling bid at the amount presented. The roll-call vote recorded Council Members Bruce, Johnson, Fassler and Nelson voting "aye"; Council Member Redig abstained from the vote.
The award authorizes Sargent Drilling to perform the test well work at the proposed price; the council did not record additional amendments or conditions during the vote. The council proceeded to other agenda items after the award, including routine department reports and other motions.
