Bruce moved the motion, Johnson seconded, and the roll-call vote was recorded as yes from Bruce, Johnson, Nelson and Redig; Council Member Fassler abstained. The council’s action clears the way for the city to advertise and accept construction bids under the approved plans and contract form.
Council members also discussed locations for a new test well in the meeting’s public-works segment; no final site decision was recorded in the minutes. The clerk’s record indicates the council’s next procedural step on the fire station will be soliciting bids under the approved specifications and estimate.
