The Atlantic Comm School District Board voted to approve an amendment to its behavioral services master agreement with Hazel Health during the May 13 meeting. The superintendent and board members described the service as telehealth therapy delivered on iPads and said the amendment does not increase district costs.
Board discussion noted the district and Hazel Health have been working in partnership, with Hazel Health helping the district access grants and provide remote therapy to students who otherwise might lack services. Board members moved and seconded the amendment and approved it unanimously.
The amendment will allow the district to continue using Hazel Health’s teletherapy tools and coordinate any grant or partnership support the vendor provides.
