The Atkins City Council unanimously approved the final plat for the Stone Ridge subdivision, fifth edition, after staff and the city’s civil engineering consultant certified that public infrastructure (water, sewer, storm, and streets) met the previously approved specifications.
Scott summarized the packet materials and said the preliminary and final plats were included for review. He said the tract is about 7.4 acres and is divided into 17 building lots comprising single-family and twin homes, with the new street named Cedar Ridge Road. "All the public infrastructure has been put in... the recommendation of the engineer [is] that the final plat for Stone Ridge fifth edition be approved," Scott said.
Planning and zoning had considered the subdivision at a special meeting and recommended approval. Council moved to approve the final plat (motion by Stolen; second by Derski) and passed it on a recorded roll call (4–0).
Staff said several building-permit applications are already in process and that developers and builders are prepared to move forward once plat approval is recorded.
