Board of Civil Service Trustees certifies personnel lists and a fire classification; no public comment

Chair Brown opened the Las Vegas Board of Civil Service Trustees meeting on June 24, 2026, and confirmed a quorum was present.

The board approved the corrected minutes of its June 10, 2026 meeting. The body then moved through several personnel items on the consent-like portion of the agenda. Member Hash moved to certify eligible lists for the following vacancies: “Deputy City Chair Marshal lateral open,” “plant operator I X open,” “recreation leader open,” “streets and sanitation crew leader open,” and “wastewater utilities supervisor open.” The motion carried unanimously.

The board next considered certification of classification specifications for a fire investigator / fire investigations lieutenant. Member Hesch moved to approve the classification specification and the board voted unanimously to certify it.

On a separate personnel action, the board moved to abolish the eligible list for production technician. Member Hesch moved the item and the board carried the motion unanimously.

The meeting opened the citizens participation portion of the agenda and recorded that no members of the public came forward. Chair Brown closed the public comment period and adjourned the meeting.
