On repainting, staff shared a painting quote from TMC Painting of about $24,000. Board members discussed reducing the scope to three walls rather than four to lower cost, while others urged completing all walls to improve aesthetics for the renovated gym.
Jeff also described athletic field work: topsoil has been spread, hydroseeding is scheduled (with staff expecting root establishment in roughly 35–40 days) and conduit and wiring for a scoreboard have been trenched as part of an interlocal agreement with the local water district to provide power. "First time we'll ever have a game here in East on our own field ever," Jeff said, noting that coaches and athletes were excited about the improvement.
Staff reported routine transportation maintenance and that recent inspections found no exceptions.
