Chair read and the board approved a resolution dissolving the Des Moines County floodplain management advisory board, referencing the original 1993 ordinance (Ordinance No. 25) and noting that the board’s meetings had become infrequent after 2006. The chair read the resolution and the board moved, seconded and adopted it.
The board also approved a Class C liquor license for Meijer’s Wedding Barn KG after the chair said “everything appears in order,” approved a personnel action for Rayanne Anderson at the correctional center for 11.39 hours unpaid time effective Feb. 18, 2026, and approved minutes from the February 17 meeting. Motions, seconds and roll‑call votes are recorded in the meeting minutes for each item.
The board thanked current and former members of the advisory board for their service and noted that county staff and advisory processes will continue to handle floodplain enforcement and permitting under existing county ordinance.
