Supervisors approve resolution to apply for Land and Water Conservation Fund grant for Big Hollow campsites

The board indicated support for the accessibility improvements, describing them as improving visitors’ experience and access.
The resolution (identified in the meeting as Resolution 26-20-26-15) was moved, seconded and approved by the board. Officials said if the grant is successful the county’s target would be to construct approximately six to ten new paved campsites depending on funding availability.
The resolution authorizes county staff to apply for the federal grant and, if necessary, to list the board’s support in the application.
