The Tallmadge administration used its report to recognize several public-safety employees for completing leadership and officer training programs and to announce personnel news in the parks and recreation department.
Director of Administration Mr. Razidto recognized Sergeant Patrick Fairhurst for completing the Ohio Police Executive Leadership College. He also acknowledged a number of firefighters who completed Fire Officer I and II training this year as part of the department’s leadership development plan.
Mr. Razidto said the parks and recreation superintendent, Jessica Simons, has submitted notice after roughly 14 years with the city; the administration posted the vacancy and said it expects to recruit a replacement. City Hall will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.
Council thanked the superintendent for her service. No personnel action on the parks post was taken at the meeting; the position was posted the day before the meeting for recruitment.
