The Rockwell City Council on Oct. 15 voted unanimously to grant a 12-month Class C liquor license to Lindrove Country Club and to certify a $100 special assessment for mowing at 121 Walnut Street.
Council members approved the liquor license after the police chief reported one minor issue this year but indicated the club met requirements. “They’re good,” the chief said during the discussion. Randy moved to approve the license and Brian seconded; the motion carried without recorded opposition. The council was told the license takes effect Nov. 15.
Separately, a staff presenter read a resolution described in the meeting as Resolution 2511 that would certify unpaid cleanup and mowing charges for collection by the county treasurer. The resolution lists an invoice to Castle Rock Reo (parcel at 121 Walnut Street) for $100. Abby moved the measure, Tracy seconded, and the council approved the resolution on a roll-call vote reported in the transcript as yes from Brian C., Traceley, Meer and Abby. The presenter said the city clerk will certify the listed properties and amounts to the county treasurer for collection.
The meeting record indicates Attorney Barry has been out of the office and that several items dependent on his return were tabled to the first November meeting, including a quick-claim deed. No further action was taken on those deferred items.
