Mayor Stephanie Sindt appointed Council member Aaron Cox as mayor pro-tem during the Rolfe City Council’s special meeting on Jan. 9, 2026. Tammy Shimon moved to appoint Cox and Brent Stewart seconded the motion. The clerk recorded roll-call votes as Tammy Shimon, Brent Stewart and Rob Jackson voting aye; Aaron Cox abstained. The appointment was recorded as approved.
Near the close of the workshop the council approved a motion to adjourn. Aaron Cox moved to adjourn, seconded by Allen; the clerk recorded the motion as carried "all ayes." The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
Those listed as present for the session included Mayor Stephanie Sindt; council members Brent Stewart, Rob Jackson, Aaron Cox and Tammy Shimon; City Clerk Brandi Henderson; Treasurer De Sindergard; and two citizens. Lana Pratt was absent.
