The Rockwell Town Council approved payment of bills and unanimously accepted the 2026 committee assignments during its meeting.
Abby moved to approve payment of the bills; Tracy seconded and the motion carried. The council also voted to accept the 2026 committee appointments as presented — a plan that added a sidewalk committee to reach ten standing committees and to distribute assignments evenly. Abby moved to accept the appointments; Bradley seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Council members discussed a scheduling request by Jake, who reportedly has a Wednesday obligation at Faith Meth Faith United Church and asked the council to consider moving meetings to Monday. Members said Mondays would conflict with other members’ schedules; after discussion the council decided to keep regular meetings on Wednesdays at 5:30 and asked Jake to advise whether he will remain on the council given the conflict.
Members were told that cameras (referred to in the meeting as camera five and camera ten) have been installed in requested locations and are online and functional. Committee reports covered upcoming preliminary budget work (finance committee), a landfill committee note that the Schlickings family has offered adjacent farmland for potential landfill expansion, and pool staffing/bonus discussions with follow-up to payroll.
A motion to adjourn was made and seconded to end the meeting.
