Planning commission recommends updates to Future Land Use Map and Chapter 165

The Robins Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously Sept. 10 to recommend that the Robins City Council approve updates to the city’s Future Land Use Map and to Chapter 165 of the Robins Code of Ordinances.
Chairperson Tim O’Hara opened a public hearing at 5:32 p.m. to solicit questions and concerns about the proposed Future Land Use Map changes; with no members of the public speaking, the hearing was closed at 5:41 p.m. Following brief commission discussion, Commission member Jay Goodin moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-9 recommending the map updates; Dennis Trachta seconded and the motion passed on a roll call vote with all votes recorded as aye.
Commission member CJ McDonald later moved approval of Resolution No. 2025-10 recommending updates to Chapter 165 of the municipal code; Trachta seconded and that resolution also passed unanimously. Todd Roberts joined the meeting at 5:34 p.m. during the evening’s proceedings.
The recommendations now proceed to the Robins City Council for consideration. Commission minutes record that a separate public hearing on rezoning was set for Oct. 8, 2025 to address related zoning changes and community comment.
