"We have utilized him quite often the whole year," a county official said, describing the arrangement as a completed agreement that simply was not filed in open session. Commissioners said the negotiated contract included a reduction in the retainer rate from earlier arrangements.
A commissioner moved to approve the contract and the board voted in favor. The chair said a signed copy will be obtained and placed in county records.
