Silver Spring approves grants, compost facility agreement and several project payments

Construction payments and consultant work: The Board approved New Kingstown Streetscape Supplement #1 at a cost not to exceed $85,470 (right‑of‑way and phase services). It approved payment application #1 to Iron Eagle Excavating for Compost Facility Phase 1 in the amount of $90,215.87. The Board also authorized Herbert, Rowland & Grubic to provide PennDOT Multimodal Transportation Fund grant consulting services for State Road at a cost not to exceed $6,000.
Why it matters: the grants and consultant approvals advance multiple capital projects: Woods Drive intersection work (public meeting set for April 14), traffic‑signal upgrades funded by a PennDOT grant, and the Municipal Campus compost facility construction.
