The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution 2026-06 on Jan. 14 acknowledging the Town of Eureka’s annexation of Creekside Mobile Home Park at 1045 Highway 93 North.
The resolution cites Town of Eureka Resolution No. 2025-815 and Montana law (Title 7 and 13, Montana Code Annotated) and directs county staff to update all affected county records — including boundary maps, GIS data, voting precincts and fire-service areas — to reflect the change in municipal boundaries.
A county packet provided to commissioners described the annexed tract as 3.25 acres identified as Section 11, Township 36 North, Range 27 West. The board conducted a short discussion about a potential boundary-line adjustment that would be reflected in legal description only and would not expand residential areas, then took a voice vote. The resolution passed; a dissent was recorded during the vote.
Why it matters: Updating county records ensures election precincts, service areas and other county-administered districts match municipal boundaries for the town and prevents administrative errors in voter rolls and service provision.
What’s next: County staff will provide the town with a signed, recorded copy of the resolution and update official county maps and GIS layers as directed by the resolution.
