The Milo City Council approved the consent agenda and moved two ordinances forward during its Dec. 2 meeting.
At 7:00 p.m. Mayor Hall called the meeting to order and the council approved an amended agenda that added a sidewalk discussion. Councilmember Kinser moved, and Rasmussen seconded, to approve the consent agenda, which included minutes from Nov. 4 and Nov. 18 and accounts payable totaling $123,653.16. Mayor Hall noted that Sheriff Carico had contacted the city to correct an information extraction error from a previous meeting and confirmed that Milo’s mileage and time records were correct.
In legislative business, Mayor Hall completed the first reading of Ordinance 2024-06, which amends Milo Code 47 (Park Regulations); the council voted to approve the first reading (motion by Griggs, second by Wadle) and set a second reading for Dec. 16, 2024. The council also completed the second reading of Ordinance 2024-05 (amending Milo Code 69.08 No Parking Zones); the motion to approve the second reading passed (motion by Griggs, second by Kinser) and the council set the third reading for Dec. 16.
All roll-call votes reported at the meeting listed ayes from Kinser, Wadle, Rasmussen and Griggs and Mason as absent for those items; the record contains an inconsistent attendance line in the consent-agenda segment that lists Rasmussen as absent despite earlier roll call showing Rasmussen present. The council approved adjournment at 9:07 p.m.
What’s next: both ordinances are scheduled for further readings on Dec. 16, 2024 at Milo City Hall; the consent-agenda items are final as recorded in the minutes.
