At its Feb. 17 meeting the Missouri Valley City Council approved several formal actions by roll call, including a contractor pay application and a substantial-completion certification for the new fire-station addition.
Pay application No. 18: The council approved payment of $7,324.01 to Raghu General Contractors for work on the fire-station addition. The motion was made, seconded and passed by roll call.
Certificate of substantial completion: Following discussion of punch-list items and retainage the council authorized the city administrator to sign the certificate of substantial completion, making the facility technically available for the fire department's use. Members noted that some adjustments and punch-list work remain and that contract retention/retainer provisions are in place.
Other routine actions: The council approved the meeting agenda, passed the consent agenda by roll call, accepted proposals on listed items and adjourned following a final roll-call vote.
