Sabula work session: permit fee adjustment, campers ordinance follow-up, and motions carried

At its Oct. 16 work session, the Sabula City Council recorded a set of administrative directions and carried routine meeting motions.
Permit fees: The council decided that homeowners who pay $50 for a special permit that is denied will not be required to pay an additional $20 for a regular permit. The decision was recorded as council consensus; no formal roll-call with individual votes was recorded in the minutes.
Campers/RVs: Council member Jim Phillips presented a proposal addressing RVs and campers in city limits; the mayor said the item will be revisited in a future work session with possible ordinance drafting.
Employee reviews: Mayor Troy Hansen asked councilors to provide the clerk with their November schedules so employee performance reviews can begin in November and, if possible, be completed by the end of December.
Motions: The session opened on a motion by Mike O’Hara, seconded by Jim Phillips, and both the motion to close the work session (moved by Jim Phillips, seconded by Teena Franzen) and the motion to adjourn (moved by Teena Franzen, seconded by Jeremy Diercks) were carried with 'all ayes.'
