Ruthven council allows impounded 'dangerous dog' back into city limits if owner follows guidelines

City Clerk Jessica Schneider played evidence showing that Doug Ashley and Kendra Feldman each received a notice about the dangerous dog and were told they had three days to contest the notice. Council members discussed whether the dog could return to Ruthven after it had been impounded; no councilmember announced a recorded nay vote on the motion.
The council's action was recorded as: "to allow the dangerous dog back into city limits as long as all guidelines for owning a dangerous dog are being followed." The meeting record shows the motion was made by Hailey Derrickson and seconded by Morgan Miller.
After the vote, Councilmember Morgan Miller moved to adjourn; Councilmember Hailey Derrickson seconded. The council adjourned at 7:00 p.m. The meeting minutes and record were signed by Mayor Dustin Johnson and City Clerk Jessica Schneider.
