Bernalillo governing body reviews monthly finances, approves $198,089.28 in vouchers

The Town of Bernalillo governing body approved the accounts payable voucher list of $198,089.28 at its Sept. 10, 2018 meeting and received the Treasurer’s monthly financial summary and several fund reports.
Treasurer Lupita De Herrera presented the General Fund summary showing current budget lines, current period activity, year‑to‑date actuals, encumbrances and percent of budget. The council received enterprise fund, special revenue and capital project reports contained in attachments (General Fund, Enterprise Funds, Special Revenue Funds attachments) for July 2018.
Mayor Torres asked for a motion to approve the accounts payable voucher list in the amount of $198,089.28. Councilor Jaramillo moved approval; Councilor Prairie seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
During public comment, Ed Auerbach of Bosque Encantado reported an accident involving a vehicle that struck an electrical pole during filming; he said power to affected homes was restored and the film company reimbursed homeowners for damages, and he stated he believed the driver should have been cited. The minutes record the comment but show no council response.
The council also approved prior procedural items including agenda and minutes and held an executive session under Open Meetings Act §10‑15‑1(H)(8) to discuss a pending real property acquisition. Councilor Dominguez made the motion to enter executive session; roll call recorded Councilors Jaramillo, Dominguez and Prairie voting "Yea." The council returned to open session at 7:08 p.m.; Mayor Torres stated no action was taken in executive session.
Announcements included a Community Development update that portable buildings appraised at $800 each will be sold and moved at buyer expense, and Mayor Torres noted Commissioner Dr. James Holden‑Rhodes planned to request $330,000 from the Sandoval County Commission to move utilities along US 550. The minutes also note a Sierra Club documentary on oil-and-gas water issues in Sandoval County that will be shared with the Governing Body.
