Bernalillo council approves sale of 4.6621-acre town tract to MSJ, LLC for $400,000

The Town of Bernalillo adopted Ordinance No. 303 on Sept. 24, 2018, approving the sale of a 4.6621-acre parcel (Tract 3, Summary Replat of Parcel A-1 Tract F, Old Sawmill Addition & lots and railroad tracts) to MSJ, LLC for a purchase price of $400,000. The ordinance packet included an appraised value of $370,000 and set the sale as intended to promote economic development within the town.
Mayor Torres presented the ordinance language. No members of the public spoke for or against the sale during the public hearing. Councilor Jaramillo moved to adopt Ordinance No. 303; the motion was seconded by Councilor Sisneros and carried by unanimous roll-call vote (Jaramillo, Sisneros, Prairie, Dominguez voted yea).
The ordinance states the effective date will be 45 days after adoption and directs town staff to take actions necessary to complete the sale. The purchaser is recorded in the ordinance as MSJ, LLC of Bernalillo, New Mexico.
