Resident urges city and county to coordinate on dog-noise complaints

She said police and deputies have attempted outreach but that county jurisdiction and the lack of a county noise ordinance limit remedies for residents whose properties border the city.
Pam asked the city to work with the county on an approach that could require properties that receive city utilities or sit within a short radius of the city to comply with the same nuisance rules, including a warning and escalating fine process. “This has been an unbearable three months of constant noise,” she told the council. Pam said she will bring the proposal to the county supervisors as well.
Council members and staff explained that public comment items require placement on a future agenda for formal consideration and invited Pam to request the item for the next meeting so the council can take action or direct staff.
