Beaver Borough secures gas-line permit for highway garage, confirms Light Up Night logistics

Borough Manager Dan Madgar told council Nov. 25 that the borough received the permit from Bridgewater to Columbia Gas for the gas line installation to the highway garage and treatment plant, a project the borough expects will reduce heating costs for the borough and the Municipal Authority.
Madgar also outlined community event logistics: Light Up Night is scheduled for Friday with the parade starting at 6:00 p.m., the function beginning at 5:00 p.m., and fireworks at 8:30 p.m.; road closures will start about 3:45 p.m. Staff noted police night-time parking enforcement ends Dec. 15 and that Small Business Saturday will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the following day. The yard waste/recycling access program grew from about 400 permits to over 700 after installation of a gate funded by a grant; access keycards will be disabled after year-end until 2026 payments are received.
